PARA 1 S1. The changes and effects of technology and introduction of social media and social networking has drastically changed the ways that managers conduct their roles over the last 20 years. Managerial Roles in organisations have changed due to global competition, advances in technology and social media. These changes and the globally competitive marketplace have significantly affected managerial tasks, functions and responsibilities. There has also been changes in attitudes and process towards business processes and managers have been required to transforms managerial roles from their simple traditional context to more highly conceptualized definitions, fulfilling the role of handling challenges associated with social media and social networking.
