Tyler Starbuck 10/28/19 English 101 Hambrick and and Chabris Summary Hambrick and Chabris argue that IQ really matters. They do a good job at starting off the essay with showing the opposite sides rather than just going into proving why they are right. I think that this method of starting off with showing the opposition influences the readers to be more interested. By showing that they understand both sides of the argument, it gives them more respect because it shows that they aren’t just going to argue why they are right. This method also gives the authors an easier way to explain why the opposition is wrong earlier in the essay. This will cause the readers to focus more on why the argument that you have presented is right, and not question whether they are right, or if the authors are right. I personally did not like reading this essay very much because of the way that the authors are presenting why the opposition is wrong. The authors of this essay do a good job at integrating their citations. The essay flows very good and it is easy to read. I disliked the way that the authors went about presenting the topic and the opposition, but overall the essay was very well written. The authors used a lot of sources throughout the essay which helps to validate their points and back up their reasoning. This helps make the essay more persuasive as to why they are right. The authors cite a graph, and there are quotes from smart people that help back up their points....
