The EEOC (The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission) is responsible for enforcing Federal Discrimination Laws. These laws make it illegal to discriminate against any employee or any applicant due to their race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, age or any disability. The EEOC is an organization who will fairly investigates chargers and try to come to terms to a settlement. If in the case that a settlement cannot be reached, a lawsuit will be filed to protect the rights of the individual. This organization also provides guidance and education to businesses and federal agencies to help prevent discrimination before it can occur. In its ruling, the court has stated that the organization EEOC trumps the arbitration contract because they weren’t party to the contract. Due to this, they couldn’t be held to the requirements of the contract. Authority is then granted to the EEOC to purse specific relief
