Meet with three individuals who have been regularly working out for over a year. Test different fitness components such as maximal strength, strength endurance, aerobic endurance, flexibility, and so on. List and discuss your findings for each of the three individuals. If you were designing a training program for these individuals, how would these results impact your training recommendations? For this assignment I am going to use my wife and myself and one of my coworkers. Two of the test subjects (my wife and I) are avid “gym-goers” and all train in different types of fitness. The third is a runner and does calisthenics, plyometrics and from time to time CrossFit style circuit training to better improve his running. I began this test with myself as I wanted to appear to know what I was doing before bringing in another test subject. I began with the book’s recommendation for an assessment of muscular strength. The book suggests using the Barbell flat bench press to determine someone’s one repetition maximum (1RM). The safest way to do this is to estimate the weight they will need to use. While I track this type of progress fairly aggressively during my workouts, I pretended I was a “client” and started from scratch. I took my weight of 251 lbs. and multiplied it by .79 which came out to 198.29. This gave me the minimum value for fair in my age group. I
