AVS1230 Project #5 DC Circuits Objective: Build series and parallel DC circuits using a power supply, resistors, and LEDs. Observe the differences in operation of series and parallel circuits. Reference: Electronic Project Kit Directions: Follow the directions given with each circuit. Part 1: Basic LED Lighting Circuit Complete PROJECT 5, Pg. 10 in the electronics snap circuit book What is the effect does removing the fan have on the circuit? The light turns off Complete Project 6 pg 10. What happens When the fan is removed from the circuit? nothing Why is this different than Project 5? There is another way the current can travel to go around Complete Project 8 pg 11. What does LED stand for? a light-emitting diode What is the purpose of a diode? To have current pass in one direction Build the circuit below using the Electronic Project Kit. Close the switch provided in the kit and observe the LED. Record your observations.
