118067460 Trends are and will always be a part of our school and community. Trends are topics that are found in a wide variety of social media websites. Teenagers tend to follow these trends more than any other age group because they want to be socially accepted by their peers and are often influenced by things and ideas they see everyday. A very popular trend that is followed around the world is the use of social media. Teenagers use it for different purposes, ranging from communication with peers and friends to staying up-to-date with news around the world. It is extremely convenient when we are able to get information when we go on one single site. But, social media, like most things, has downsides. Information can travel through the world very quickly and there is a lot of cyberbullying on social media sites that can be very disturbing to whoever it’s targetted at. Social media allows for quick communication in various aspects of life. Information is travelling from one person to another faster than any other time period. Friends are texting each other all the time to the point that they can’t survive a day without texting.This has become a daily routine in many teenagers lives. This can’t be seen as a positive thing because there are many downsides. Because information can travel with one click, people expect others to answer their texts right immediately. Just because one person spends hours on social media, doesn’t mean another person does too. For example, I am someone who isn’t always on social media, which means I might not read someone’s text for a few days. My friends seem to think
