Dear politician, I would like to discuss the issue of bullying. People everywhere are faced with this devastating problem. Bullying leads to 4,400 suicides each year. It is a problem that the government should make more of an effort to stop. It is an issue faced by many. Not only should we punish the kids who bully people we should also look at the kids who have been bullied. We should provide the things they need to get help and set up a way for them to share the pain they are experiencing. Rules can be placed but rule breakers do not care about the rules. We need to make a more effective method of stopping bullying before it happens. Because after it happens it could already be to late. There will already have been someone affected. The amount of suicides each year is rising. Bullying is one of the biggest reason’s students are taking their life. That should start to raise red flags. Unformatted text preview: also the government and people higher up in society. If they put a real punishment on the people who are responsible there would be less likely chance of bullying. The bullies are not the only ones who need our attention though. Those who have been bullied need to feel safe again. We need them to open and let us know what is going on. If we want to stop bullies, we must let the people getting bullied know they have a voice and can get our attention if something happens. This should not be a fight that a kid has to face alone. Therefore, I say we give the kids more. We give them more counselors, defenses against the bullies, and show them more ways to open to us. This will make schools that much safer and will help minimize the suicide rate of all those poor children....
