ONE TAKEAWAY: The Euthyphro Dilemma is a concept that believes that if moral authority must come from a God it does not have to be good, and if moral authority must be good it does not have to come from God. This idea is very interesting because God plays a major role in morality. Religion offers rewards and punishments. People are afraid to do the “wrong” thing because they fear God will punish them. I understand that it makes more sense that a divine figure would disapprove of something because it itself is wrong rather than declaring something as wrong because of being a moral judge. ONE QUESTION: If a person doesn’t believe in God, does that mean they are morally wrong even if they do ethical things? ONE COMMENT: This is a very interesting concept because if God says things are wrong because they are immoral then it would make sense. However, not all things what God says is necessarily ethical. For instance, same- sex marriage is a very controversial topic. Many religions disapprove the idea because God forbids it. However, we do not clearly know the reason why it is immoral. I believe that a divine figure cannot be a moral judge for everything because they can say murder is wrong, but they can also say rape is okay which is immoral. Personally, I
