AP Language Mr. Looker James Zhao 2018.05.26 Christianity And Pop Culture Thinking about the nowadays’ culture, the first word that comes across my mind is— igno - rance. Self-centered lifestyles and idolatry are more and more promoted by the majority more frequently than any other era before. The development of technology has boosted our ability to attain information; however at the same time has devoured our mind due to the various contami - nation from those images and words. The only One Who is perfect, created Christianity at the very beginning, will definitely have a lot of comments for this period of time. Throughout the history, Christianity has the core value that has never changed, which is “God loves each every single one of us and we are made in His image.” Meanwhile it has changed and it has plenty of subchapters within itself owing to the different believes of individuals or groups(they still share the core value and believe in Bible). Religion never changes but the rela - tionship changes to adapt to the changing situation and for the improvement of the relation which is a grace of God. There were some controversial Scripture that illustrates different ideas about somethings in Old and New Testament. Something that was considered right can be defined as a wrong deed after several years or even days. “The outside influences are always pouring in upon us, and we are always obeying their orders and accepting their verdicts.” This quote from Mark Twain in his article Corn-Pone Opinions states a valid point that applies all the time.
