Alexis Edrosa English 10 Honors Period 6 My Truth It all started a long time ago, long before the Wallflower Rebellion and the Great Corn Syrup Drought. Long before the Olympics became an online sport and the extinction of broccoli. It started when I was just a young high schooler. The moment I became President of the Sophomore class was when everything started going wrong. Damn! What a toilet licking idea! It was as if Atlas just dropped the weight of the world on my shoulders. I was simply just a shy person with so much anxiety that even my therapist ignores my calls. What the hell was I thinking? I was taking on the world, one on one, and it was winning. The day of our first council meeting, I was a bag of nerves. I was seated at the head of the table right across the seat that our advisor was going to sit in and around me were these people, my people, my council. My Vice President was the type of person who always seemed happy and always laughed at the stupidest things. I’m pretty sure if you put her under a blacklight, you would find out that her blood glows. My Secretary always seemed like he was half there. The other half of him was probably wandering around Pluto because that was just the type of person he was, a Pluto person. His assistant was this powerhouse of a person filled with righteous beliefs. My Treasurer was MIA but I later find out that he, no offense, seemed like the type that eats puppies. He seemed political. In his place was his assistant. She was this person who I just
