Kaya Joyner In the two stories the three golden apples and from weight there are some common themes. These stories tell how when you are give you burden off to someone else and say you’ll take it back later you need to stick to your word. In these stories the giant and Hercules are doing each other a favor. When the giant returns he doesn't want to go back to the way he was. A couple of common themes of these two stories could be don't always trust others with a big responsibility, you can't depend on others to want to do your work for you, and stick up for yourself. In these stories the giant was put with the burden of having to hold up the sky for his entire lift and hercules has to go get these golden apples for the king and his family and he asks the giant to do it for him. So hercules takes the sky off the giant's shoulders so he can go get the apples for him. When the giant comes back he doesn't want the sky back. When the giant told hercules that he he doesn't want the sky back the he gets really mad and begs for him to take it back. ‘ i have no worries of burdening myself with the sky just now” (The Three Golden Apples by Hawthorn). When hercules wanted the giant to take the sky back he didn't want to be put back in a painful place that he has been for thousands of years. Hercules shouldn't have expected
