1. Evaluate Yahoo!’s new work initiative. Did it have to be an “all or nothing” proposition? Discuss and present your point of view. From the perspective of Marissa Mayer, it had to be an all or nothing proposal that was offered which was to force employees to physically show up to work because Yahoo became a shell of its formal self.it already has a set of high expectations for itself and from its consumers because it was competing with the likes of Google, Facebook, and Twitter. For Yahoo to become relevant again in the market, also the morale of employees was low and the expectations Yahoo had fallen apart. Improving a current reputation is much more difficult than creating a reputation because Yahoo would have to appeal to both a current audience while addressing to a newer audience which is why it was prudent for Mayer to make a drastic decision regarding the company’s situation and its employees. 2. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
