Career Portfolio Assignment Description: Students will create a career portfolio that will include the following items: Cover Page (up to 5 points) Cover Letter (up to 10 points) Resume (up to 20 points) Resume Review (15 points) Unofficial Transcript (up to 10 points) Major Knowledge Results (up 20 points) Self-Reflection Paper (up to 20 points) Procedures: Create a career portfolio. Prepare the portfolio as if you are pursuing a job vacancy is the career area of your choice. It may be helpful to think of the assignment as having two parts: resume/cover letter specific to a job posting, and transcript/Major Knowledge Results/Self Reflection. Student career portfolios will contain at a minimum the following components in this order : 1. Cover letter Business/ professional format Include opening/introduction, body/purpose, and closing If needed, search for format suggestions online. There are many ways of completing an effective cover letter.
