Daniel Seiden Seiden 1 Mr. Siflinger APUSH G 14 October 2019 APUSH LEQ #3 When the Revolutionary War ended, and our founding fathers had written the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, a unified government was created. At this point, the US began to take an initiative in world affairs. The United States advanced as a country and extended some of its policies towards Latin America and parts of Europe. The United States wanted to assert its dominance but also maintain national honor and respect. Some believe the United States was not ready for such advancements because of its reluctance to be involved in European political affairs. However, the United States advanced its interests from an economic and political standpoint through its expansionist efforts.
