But it is important that we know that not all gases emitted by the exhaust pipes of vehicles are harmful to health. A couple of important ideas about pollutants from combustion engines: When gasoline undergoes combustion, not all the hydrocarbons it contains are burned completely or with the same efficiency . In this way, the vehicle's engine technology is essential when determining the volume of gases, of pollutant emissions that that vehicle will launch into the air while driving on streets and roads. That is one of the reasons why old vehicles that do not have devices that regulate and optimize this combustion of gasoline are now fined.
