Over the past few decades assessing and managing risk has evolved because of newer
technology. To successfully manage risk, you must manage change. However, managing change
can be a bit tricky for leadership. The true purpose of leadership is to influences and help
employees manage their behavior with change
(Dick, Ash, Childress, Diamantides, Grabarczyk,
Main, Schuessler, and Van Cura, 2018). Nonetheless, an effective organization will plan goals,
and reassess those goal before implementing any new process. In the essay, an evaluation
through a method called SMART which stands for specific, measureable, achievable, realistic
and time bound will assess the new implementation of the Air National Guard Medical Entrance
Processing Facility (ANGMEPF). Change can be chaotic at first but if a solid assessment and
adjustment are made before implementation then the resistance of change will be less and then
end results will be glorious. Nonetheless, it has been found through this assessment that the key
to managing change is to plan, adjust and plan again to achieve the end goal.
