prints.
They used tire identification to track down the serial killer. They also examined the types
of traed prints that were left behind.

Dental stone-
Dental stones are impressions such as footwear or tire tracks may
be collected for lab analysis through dental stone casting. Dental stone casting
material emits heat while it hardens, as such it is typically not used for
impressions in snow.

Tread wear indicator- Tread wear indicator is a raised bar under design, shows
after wear.

Tire track width- Tire track width measures from left tire center to right tire center.

Electrostatic lifting- electrostatic lifting is a non-destructive process whereby an
electric field is developed on a sheet of lifting film which attracts dust particles to
the film. The device is capable of recovering dust impressions from a variety of
porous and non-porous surfaces. Dust impressions not visible to the naked eye
are often recovered with this device.

Wear pattern- wear patterns are dependent on the angle of footfall and wear
distribution.

Differential analysis- differential analysis are the soils that absorb and release
heat at different rates. These thermal properties are compared to the identity of
the soil.
