Alejos 1 Joel Alejos Mr Daniels AP Lang 1st 4 February 2019 Security of the Border The general argument made by Glenn Thrush in his work “He Says ‘Wall,’ They say ‘Border Security’: A Glossary of the Border Debate” written in The New York Times is that there is no clear specification about what Trump has planned. More specifically, Thrush argues that this “wall” could be classified as multiple things such as a barricade, fence, or it could just be a metaphor for instance and he continues to discuss the effects of this wall economically. In conclusion Thrush brings up multiple points about the wall being named multiple different things and how this affects how America views this “wall”. In my view, Thrush is wrong, because this wall is something that Trump clearly states what his view of it is. More specifically, I believe that Trump states multiple times what he envisions this wall being, and that is a legitimate wall that covers the entirety of the U.S Mexican border to improve border security. For example, he posted pictures of prototype walls being built
