In our world today, technology is both very helpful but can also be hindering depending on what the final goal to accomplish is. Crowdsourcing is one of the ways that companies, governments, schools, and people in general use in search of others views and opinions to provide idea, alternatives, and/or suggestions. Crowdsourcing is a mass collaboration via the internet and has basically replaced the good old “suggestion box” that you and I probably remember from a local restaurant for example. The question most people have about crowdsourcing today is whether or not it is actually beneficial or not, and the results of these type of questions seem to be well weighted on both sides. According to an article done by the Boston Globe (2013) crowdsourcing was at an all- time high as internet users looked through thousands of pictures associated with a bombing and opted to produce their own opinions and input to help identify potential suspects. With the best of intentions, this produced thousands and thousands of false leads, accusations, and created a massive haystack so to speak for authorities to rifle through and attempt to sort out.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
