Amy Jacobson 1 EDUCATION IS LIFELONG My Philosophy of Education Throughout my education experience, I have come across many different teachers, with many different teaching styles. I like to believe that every single one of the educators that I encountered, has made some kind of influence on my personal philosophy. These influences, good and bad, have helped me shape my philosophy for the meantime. Even though I will become an educator, I will still be learning, and I know that my philosophy will change and adjust as my time progresses. I hope to become a kindergarten, first, second or third grade teacher in the future. As a teacher, I want to be the type that establishes personal relationships with his/her students, one that former students will remember and become a powerful teacher that can teach valuable lessons in and out of the classroom. I have gathered factors as to what characteristics define an exceptional educator. There have been two educators in my life that have really helped me shape my teaching philosophy. One I encountered in middle school and also had throughout high school. The other teacher, I met during high school. Both of them had very similar characteristics and teaching styles. These educators really knew how to connect and make personal relationships with their students. What I really admire about both of them is their ability to adjust their teaching and lessons to each individual student’s personality and learning style. They kept learning fun and engaging, and that is what I hope to implement in my future classroom. If I see my students having fun while they’re learning, it will make teaching them more fun too.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
