Question and Answer Critical Thinking – SLP 5 1. Based on my results from my critical thinking quiz, I would say most of the time my skills are good. I do have some bad days where my critical thinking skills aren’t as great as my good days but I still get by. I’m very observative to the people and things around me and that helps me identify the problem faster. I could also improve my skills though, by being more objective. 2. a. One of the strategies I chose is taking breaks. By taking a short break from the problem you are doing, you have time to make your mind rest. Usually the solution you are looking for will come to your head when you’re least thinking about it. Most times, taking a break will enhance your physical health but also your mental and emotional as well. When I become less focused on my work and more on sleeping then that’s telling me I need to take a break so I can let my mind relax. b. I’ve realized that sometimes I tend to overlook the simplest thing but reorganizing the problem really helps me to better find an answer when I get stuck. c. The last strategy I thought that can enhance our critical thinking skills is to get it down. I know that sometimes I would randomly think of great idea and later want to tell someone but I’d forget. By having something with you like your phone or a notebook to jot down these ideas are handy. I still have a problem doing this because at times, I would be distracted with other things. I can see though, that doing this would help improve my creative critical thinking skills and help me better memorize things that are important....
