DISCUSSION #5- RESPONSE 1 2 Discussion #5- response 1 Hi Allethea, I too suffer from migraines and have an aura. My aura is my eye twitching or photophobia. Mine are also are more prominant with stress, sleep distrurbance and hormonal changes (like my cycle). I also wrote my discussion this week on aura’s and found that our book didn’t have a lot of information to offer. So I looked up aura’s in my medical surgical book as well as lippincott advisor for education. I was surprised to find that there isn’t a lot of textbook information. According to lippincott , “Aura associated with classic migraine headache: results from cranial vasoconstriction and typically involves visual disturbances; helps distinguish a classic migraine from other types of headaches; develops over 10 to 30 minutes and varies in intensity and duration”(Lippincot Advisor for Education, 2019, para. 8).

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
