Operating system is also the most important software in the network. TASK 1 (a) Types of network operating system Standalone Standalone is the full operating system runs on a desktop or on the laptop computers. There is no resource sharing concept in other types of offline computer operating systems. It including Mac OS, Unix, Linux and Windows. Advantages Disadvantages Damage control Lack of flexibility Simplicity The ability to meet the needs of experienced programmers and users is limited Alternative operations Microprocessor for single family Correct user manual (straightforward) Takes a lot of storage Installing and purchasing separately Don’t share a resources Cluster based Cluster based is the set of computer that connected with the cooperation so many things but it seen as a single system. Unlike the computer networks, operating system clustering have every node set to perform the same tasks and controlled also scheduled by the software. This device only connects to a shared operating system type such as memory and processor. Advantages Disadvantages Communicate and share resources Distribution is conscious Economy (Price and performance) Critical network connection Reliability and Scalability Safety and privacy Additional growth potential

Infrastructure based Infrastructure based run the applications on the central server. It also allows users to share the operating system and separating the user session. It also types of network operating system that share two or more computer resources and hardware such as peripherals and disk space. Advantages Disadvantages The central server is very stable The cost of buying and running servers is high Managed security management I depend on most business centers Improving the quality of new technologies and hardware can be easily integrated into the systems Regular maintenance and renewal Remote access to servers on this site and possibly on a variety of systems Services of network operating system i) Files (File sharing)
