ABSTRACT Project management is becoming more and more important in the development of the any country. Many organizations have used project management techniques to assist in reducing the failures and increasing success in implementation of projects. Although there is an increasing of awareness in project management by different organizations, projects continue to fail. The aim of this study is to identify the main sources of information systems project failures.

1. INTRODUCTION Project failures have become a common term that every project manager wants to separate themselves from. . Project failure is not due to a certain reason as various reasons contribute to failure of the project. Many companies use information systems for various operations, it is a must for every company to avoid project failures. Companies spend a lot of money is spent on information systems hence it is important to analyze and understand the reasons sources of project failures. A successful IS project results in a successful system and a satisfied end user (McLeod, 2012).The aim of this paper is to discuss five typical sources of information systems project failures. 2.

For this paper study I used secondary data collection method used to locate articles through the use of internet and , journals . and articles.
