The spectroscope allowed for viewing of the light to determine the wavelengths. In part one, the spectroscope was used to view different gas samples. In part two, flames were lit and the metal that was being exposed to heat was viewed using the spectroscope. Lastly, the spectroscope was used to view florescent, LED and incandescent light. The identities of the metals were; LiCl, KCl, cupric sulfate hydrate, calcium chlorate dihydrate and sodium carbonate. 3. Based on what you saw through your spectroscopes, how did the light from the three light sources compare to each other? The LED wavelength ranged from about 445-718 nm, the florescent ranged from about 445-615nm and the incandescent ranged from about 410-690 nm. LED light had the widest range across the color spectrum, demonstrating that it is one of the better light sources compared to the other two....
