Parkinson 1 Jordan Parkinson Brother Schmidt REL 352-1 05 March 2016 Reflection Paper #3 The last weeks of class have been very enjoyable for me, particularly as I was able to do my personal presentation on the Venerable Bede’s A History of the English Church and People . This report was very fun for me to do as my ancestry is mainly from Britain and reading it felt very much like a family history project. Admittedly, the work lacks realism or a feeling of cold, hard accuracy, but it was an incredible read for me and one that I feel helped me learn a lot. One thing it solidified was my gratitude for the Catholic Church, which I have mentioned in previous reflection papers. It may not have been completely accurate religion, but it was Christianity in some form and that was a huge blessing I think. On the other side of that thought, I also gained a greater appreciation for the pagan culture and gods. I didn’t expect it from this class, but that is something that has really intrigued me as we’ve continued to learn more about Christianity and the pagan religions.
