Nursing 6435 Week 3 Discussion Discuss the history that you would take on this child in preparation for the well- child visit. Include questions regarding her growth and development that are appropriate for her age. Before going into the exam room, I would review Asia’s chart to familiarize myself with the patient’s labs, notes, growth charts as well as other history. An interval history is appropriate for Asia because she has been here before. Questions I would ask the parent would include: Have there been any changes since her last visit? Have there been any developmental or growth concerns or delays? Is she in day care? If so, how are things going? Any recent illness, labs or ER visits? Does the parent have any concerns? Describe the developmental tool to be used for Asia, its reliability and validity and how Asia scored developmentally on this tool. Is she developmentally appropriate for her age? The ASQ-3 developmental assessment tool is appropriate for Asia’s age range and her results were within normal limits. She is hitting all developmental milestones for a 2- month-old. The ASQ-3 is a widely utilized developmental screening tool for infants as well as young children to evaluate attainment of developmental milestones across the five domains which include, communication, gross motor skills, fine motor skills, problem solving as well as personal and social skills (Burns, 2016).

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
