To understand the behaviour of individuals, groups and societies Examples of rules and conditions: Wage rates + hours of work + rosters + schedules + how shifts change + how to get promoted Where did these rules come from? Modern award Enterprise bargaining agreement Individual contract Company procedures manual Told to you by the manager Informally understood among the workers Who made the rules? Management unilaterally Agreed between workers and the boss Mysteriously inserted in an agreement Fact to remember: In accordance with the Annual Wage Review decision by the Fair Work Commission , the National minimum Wage increases to $694.90 per week or $18.29 per hour. *WA = $709.90/pw Employment relation is more than being sensational, collectivist and conflictual it incorporates aspects of the individual employer-worker relationship .
