List five reasons why Governance is critical to the success of Programs and Projects? 3. List five attributes that a Program Leader should have when managing Project Teams and dealing with Program stakeholders? 4. Develop your own Program Governance Structure that includes teams/working groups in the following areas: Risk, Financial, Resourcing, Stakeholder and change Management. 5. List five methods used when making decisions regarding complex and competing Program demands. 6. Describe the benefits of an International Standard that can be used when establishing Program Governance. 7. Describe a Project or Program Management control system used to monitor program progress. 8. List five documents required to conduct and record Program or Project Audit. 9. Develop a Policy and Procedure Framework that can be applied to projects and programs. 10. List five organizational and external program compliance requirements. Part B – Project and Role Play Instruction Describe a verbal exchange that you will have with a member of staff, using language and features appropriate to the audience. You will need to demonstrate that you have used active listening and questioning techniques to confirm understanding. This task is based on a Program or Project of your choice. Scenario Your Program or Project Governance requires all variations to documented in a Decision Document and presented to the Program or Project Authority Board (PAB). 2. Decision Required 3. Status a. Here you provide the history of how you came to the issue at hand. While your decision-makers need to understand the background, this requires a careful balance of providing enough history without going into exhaustive and unnecessary details. b. A good indicative test for content to be included here is to simply ask yourself, “is this information relevant to the decision?” In other words, would the piece of history or status detail influence the decision maker one way or another? If the answer is yes, then it is relevant enough to be included. c. Beyond the history, of course, this section must include the who, what, when and where of the situation requiring a decision. 4. Options Be sure to capture all relevant decisions, with an emphasis on the relevant part. This section is not to list every possible variation anyone could ever dream up. Instead, list genuine options that the decision makers could genuinely consider selecting.
