Midterm From the beginning of Romeo and Juliet, it is clear that Romeo is a passionate young man who throws himself wholly into the situations that he finds himself in, including love. While he is loyal to a fault, he is also sometimes unpredictable. He begins the play infatuated with Rosaline and bemoaning the inability to gain her love, but as soon as he see Juliet for the first time, he is thoroughly in love with her. All thoughts of Rosalie are gone and replaced with Juliet. His feelings for Juliet are no longer merely an infatuation, but he discovers that his is capable of feeling true love. In contrast, Juliet is young and naive at the beginning of the play. What she feels toward Romeo seems to catch her off guard, probably because she has never experienced anything this intense before. Given the play's short time period, Juliet quickly develops into someone who is more mature and sure of herself. Unlike Romeo, she balances her feelings and does not get carried away from them though she can not deny that she is experiencing something wondrous.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
