NEW SHOPPING GUIDE ON CONFLICT DIAMONDS – JUST IN TIME FOR VALENTINE’S DAY 10/02/2006 Global Witness & Amnesty International UK PRESS RELEASE FRIDAY 10 FEB 2006 Global Witness and Amnesty International UK have today (10 February) launched a new, glossy, simple guide which tells shoppers what they need to know when they shop for diamond jewellery if they want to try and ensure the diamonds are conflict free – that they have not been traded to fund armed conflict and civil war. The guide is targeting romantic shoppers who might be looking for that special gift that will last forever just before Valentine’s Day. Entitled ‘Are you looking for the perfect diamond?’, the guide is a short and easy to use guide to the issues. It recommends that as well as the usual ‘4Cs’ of Colour, Cut, Clarity and Carat, shoppers should also ask about Conflict before making their purchase. Conflict diamonds are those sold in order to fund armed conflict and civil war. Warlords

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
