GROUP THERAPY SESSIONS WITH CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS Client A (BM) BM is an Asian-American female 14 years of age who manifests anxiety that began about three weeks ago following the death of her mom which occurred due to overdose on drugs. The patient is the only child her father is a long-distance driver who spends less time at home. The patient's father thought that the patient should reside with her sister. This was in a mission to get the patient busy and also to subject her to a safe setting because he is normally away from home. The patient did not fancy the proposition. She expressed expressing a lot of anger toward her father. The patient reported failing to attend school numerous times. She likewise concerned about losing her father and is unwilling for the impending separation and does not like the idea of staying alone or living with an individual other than her dad. Some of the presenting manifestations of the client incorporate clinging to her dad, unwilling to take part in activities that may prompt separation, cerebral pain, queasiness, temper tantrums, failing to report in school, poor grades in school, and isolation from fellow students. He client does not have mental history and she expressed no clinical issue.
