EMOTIONS AND FEELINGS 2 Chapter 4: Emotions and Feelings Emotions are feelings that an individual directs to another person. The feelings can be as a result of being happy, afraid or being angry (Robbins & Judge, 2018). Moods are less intense as compared to emotions. They lack a stimulus that contextual as opposed to emotions. Moods are never directed towards someone. In case one loses focus on what started a feeling, then emotions turn into moods. This section covers emotions and moods besides how they influence an individual's behavior. Examples of emotions include enthusiasm, happiness, disgust, hope, hate embarrassment, sadness, pride, love, and surprise. These emotions are tied to fundamental aspects of emotions. For instance, the biology of emotions states that emotions that individuals encounter develop as a result of the limbic system of the brain (Robbins & Judge, 2018).
