The Program you have selected is Dinosaurs and more:
In this program, students are made the carer for their own native Australian animal. The challenge is set –
using a passport, return your animal to its correct native habitat. Learn about the needs of your animal and its
adaptations to survive in its natural environment.
Activities provided allow students to use scientific processes while they play, create, investigate and explore.
This program supports the science unit “Dinosaurs and more” from the Primary Connections Science Series.
Please prepare your students mentally for the visit. Let students know they will be doing work, writing notes,
and answering questions.
Expectations of visiting staff: On the day, REEC staff will do most or all of the teaching. Teachers may be
required to run some activities. Please get involved with your students and help with group management.
Risk Assessments - Visiting teachers are responsible for the excursion Risk Assessment. A Risk
Assessment is available on our website and a copy is also attached.
