She did so by computing the mean (average) value of people’s answers to question Q15 of the survey. The mean value she thus obtained is 3.5, which leads her to conclude that the average pre-tax income of the respondents to the survey is between $30,000 and $49,999. Do you agree with her approach? Briefly explain. No, I don not agree with her. The survey could only shows the amount of the consumers’ income is large in the 30,000 to 49,999 group. It can not prove that the average consumers of the restaurant will be in the 30,000 to 49,999. 2.
