Love is a word that has always been hard to define. It is an emotion that most people wish to feel and want to be able to experience at least once in their lives. Though it is rather common, many people have their own definitions of love since they feel the love or love in different ways. The feeling of love does not always go both ways. At times, love exists between two people, but sometimes love comes only from one person. It is too difficult for everyone to agree on one definition as “the course of true love never did run smooth” (Act I.I.134). In the play, A Midsummer Night’s Dream , a complication of love is seen between four Athenians: Lysander and Demetrius who love Hermia, Hermia who loves Lysander, and Helena who loves Demetrius. Shakespeare intentionally allows this love triangle to occur to complicate the entire play. It keeps the love unbalanced and the readers on their toes throughout the play until the very end.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
