Acts out of Greed Introduction: Greed is a desire to possess something or someone that one does not have. We have all wanted something we could not get our hands on before. At times, we develop greed because of love, and other times we develop greed because we want to be in control of a situation. When we cannot get something we want, it may lead to actions that end up hurting others. Thesis: We live in a greedy world, where people will carry out malicious actions just to get what they want. A. Oberon, who sees Helena praising Demetrius, who curses at her and says he does not love her, says he will make Demetrius fall in love with Helena (Act II.II) a. Puck, the fairy, obtains the flower with the love potion b. Oberon has Puck look for an Athenian boy, Demetrius, who is being pursued by an Athenian girl, Helena c. Puck is to pour some of the juice of the flower on Demetrius’ eyelids so when he wakes up, he will see Helena and fall in love with her i. Oberon wants to control the situation and make Demetrius and Helena fall
