Zimdahl Chapter 4
There are many ethical theories that everyone practice that help them make daily life
decisions. It is used to form reasons to justify our doings. Our morals tend to change because of
life dilemmas we encounter. When it comes to moral dilemmas, there are no right answer, it is
purely based on our personal reflection. Ethical decisions are based on one’s opinion and there
isn’t any factual information that makes the decision correct. Agricultural scientists don’t view
ethics as important to their science. I don’t think agricultural practices are already ethically
correct just because it feeds people. There are agricultural activities that are questionable even
though it does the job. There are two particular actions used to reason moral behavior: moral
reasoning and moral rationalizing. Moral rationalizing uses evidence to support behavior, but it is
subjective.
