One looked human in shape and had a dark cloud over his hand with lightning striking through his eyes and rain suddenly hitting the ground. He moved forward while raising his arm. The little light that remained was covered by the all encompassing frightful image of the man with only lightning illuminating him as he moved forward slow and fast all at once. He raised his arm and pointed at a classmate who used to be thete but is already gone and he is about to pull the trigger. She jolted as thethunder crashed and she looked to her left at The Girl and she sighed in relief. She listened as class was taught: teachers droning; students blank faced. The coldness was keeping her awake while the rain was tempting her to sleep. That’s dangerous she thought. The heaviness of her bulletproof vest gave her comfort and fear and awareness. The NRA patch over her right breast was a bright orange color. Noticeable. Glaring. Haunting. She thought that at least 30 minutes have passed if not more, but it was hard to keep track of time passing in the monotone and lifeless classroom.
