Supporting Point 1: Workers formed together to create a powerful force known as a labor union. They would protest issues such as bad working conditions, low wages and hours. Specific Evidence: Fueled by wage cuts, the Great Railroad strike in 1877 was spontaneous and effective in shaping the way for other labor unions.
