PERSONAL WORLDVIEW & BUSINESS ETHICS 2 STEP 1 To what extent should personal religious beliefs impact our decisions about business ethics I believe that there should be boundaries in place as to how far a person should allow their personal religious beliefs to interfere or influence the manner in which their conduct business. For instance, when it comes to hiring or firing, a business associate in a company should regulate his or her persona religious beliefs, especially in determining whether or not to hire someone for a particular. His or her beliefs should not influence the decision considering it is personal. Thus, allowing them to influence our judgment and decision-making attributes is, in my personal view, a discrimination act. To what extent do your personal religious (or non-religious) beliefs about life impact your sense of business ethics and personal decision-making? My sense of business ethics have been impacted by my personal religious beliefs to a certain extent. For example, my conclusions in the business environment is based on my personal religious beliefs about integrity and fairness. Accordingly, I tend not to judge or decide not to conduct business operations with others based on these beliefs, but primarily on their ethical standing and practices as demonstrated in Proverbs 28:6 (ESV). I also belief in diversity in terms of beliefs and cultures, and as emphasized in Romans 2:11 (NKJV), we are required to exercise impartiality. Does it seem odd to connect every belief we have about life back to what we believe about God?

PERSONAL WORLDVIEW & BUSINESS ETHICS 3 No. It is not odd to connect all our beliefs about life back to our beliefs about God. Colossians 1:16 (NKJV) emphasizes that by Him (God), all things were created, whether visible or invisible, dominions or thrones, authorities or rules. All things were by him and through him. Article 1- “What is a worldview and why is it important to me?” Has your answers to either of the first two questions changed after reading article 1?
