How can you address these personal biases in your professional nursing practice? The scale indicates that I am pretty neutral with 1-2 biases that I was not aware of. When I looked at the questions there was one where I did not feel that it was a bias but more of a lack of patience because other cultures may not know the English word for what they may be trying to articulate. The revealed biases did come as a bit of a shock to me as I answered each question honestly. Prior to the questionnaire I did not feel that I had any biases and not only was it revealed that I did, but that I had more than one on a subconscious level. I believed that I was
