2Research MethodsOne of the myths of today is that giving children vaccination causes Autism. Many parents had thought since there was more cases of Autism that vaccinations were the cause. Before 1943 there was no medical cases of Autism. Parents didn’t really question or accept that their children might be different. So, because of the fear of your children getting Autism after getting certain vaccinations parents stop giving vaccinations. Many parents thought that giving your child the measles vaccination caused Autism. This is why is the past 5 or so years we have seen more cases of measles break outs. The way we show that vaccinations do not cause Autism would be through a mixture of experimental and observation. You would need to have an observation of the child for a few years. So, this would be at least a five-year process.
