Wellness - a process of making informed choices that will lead one, over a period of time, to a healthy lifestyle that should result in a sense of well being. 3. components of wellness - emotional, intellectual, social, spiritual, physical, occupational, environment. 4. stress - a nonspecific response to demands placed on the body. eustress - positive stress that produces a sense of well being. distress – a negative stress that physically and mentally damaging response to the demands placed upon the body. 5. 9 potential stress management techniques - Deal with the cause, put the situation into perspective, pace yourself, laugh at life and at yourself, develop quality relationships, time management needs to be life management, look at situation and people in a different light, balance fun and responsibility, exercise and eat
