November 27, 2007 It is meaningful to treat the Bible as one narrative. If we were going to do so, these terms are the key elements of the story of the Bible. We are looking at how particular narratives include all of these elements. 1. Sin – 2. Separation (alienation) – has theological AND human dimension. Represent through Joseph’s exile to Egypt. Human separation make us oblivious; the brothers, having fallen into this evil, have lost sight of him because of the spiritual separation. Sin tends to proliferate exponentially. Sin is also part of the solution – sin drives the brothers into the arms of Joseph. 3. Covenant – recognizably steps leading towards some later culmination of grace. Some kind of relationship between Joseph and his brothers – partial restoration. This restoration sets the stage for the more complete one. The test that’s given to the brothers is very crucial and symbolic – they must return, for more food, but they must come back to Egypt.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
