Deep Learning 2Concept of Deep LearningDeep learning is a technique of learning which entails a higher level of intelligence aswell as a critical examination of facts and the topics too. Deep learning entails linking the newfacts with the already known ones or even forming other new facts. This leads to long periodretention of facts that one can use in the solving of the various problems. It is also an approach aswell as an attitude towards learning. The apprentice uses various skills which include an abilityto think meta-cognitively, solving problems, analyzing and synthesizing in order to bring aneffective understanding. Deeper learning entails a critical examination of new concepts as well asrelating them to the already known perceptions not forgetting the principles in order to enhancethe understanding that can be used in the solving of problems in new, unacquainted contexts(Deng and Yu 2014, p.197). It has a positive impact on the way students think, act as well as theway they feel.Deep learning encourages application and also an understanding for a lifetime. Thelearners replicate on the special significance of what they are partaking. In other words, they areindependent, they effectively impart themselves (Godfellow 2016).They are also concertedapprentices with a high-level learning as well as metacognitive skills. Deep learning has anumber of major characteristics which include: a focus on the concepts, targeting forunderstanding, and connecting current and the previous knowledge. In accordance with Le andNg there are four major types of knowledge: metacognitive, factual, procedural as well asconceptual (2011, p.265).In deep learning there are six levels of cognitive procedures: remembering, understanding, applying, analyzing, evaluating as well as creating. The realistic acquaintance, agood example is the facts and the topics, is locked in a situation, time and place. Realistic
Deep Learning 3concepts do not enhance understanding. The concepts are the overall ideas that are derivativefrom the facts. They are intellectual and comprehensive. They are signified by dissimilaroccurrences that share mutual features, universality in submission as well timeliness (LeCun2015, p.436). Conceptual acquaintance is essential for understanding and providing a frameworkused to relate the current and previous knowledge. The definitive goal of learning is the transfer of knowledge. The factual information doesnot take part in the transfer of knowledge, but concrete understanding does the same. Conceptualunderstanding is brought up by hypothesizing the factual information. On every occasion, people
