Reflection: GCU Code of Conduct
Grand Canyon University (GCU) policy handbook describes both academic integrity, and
code of conduct violations. With both types of violations Grand Canyon University has severe
consequences including but not limited to expulsion (Grand Canyon University Policy
Handbook, 2019).
Academic integrity violation can be explained as submitting assignments purchased,
shared, or otherwise created by someone other than the student. This also includes previous
assignments resubmitted for a different course.
A violation can also include dishonesty.
Dishonesty consist of knowingly falsifying information in an academic setting. This can apply to
admission papers, course work, and where information provided alters the end results (Grand
Canyon University Policy Handbook, 2019).
Code of conduct violations can be explained as issues with behavior.
Behavioral can
apply to sexual, and/or verbal harassment, sexual assault, stalking, or any threatening behaviors.
