Running Head: Object Oriented Programming 2 Object Oriented Programming also known as OOP refers to language that uses objects in programming. OOP implements real world entities like inheritance, polymorphism, hiding, etc in programming. The main point is to bind together the data and the functions that operate on them so that no other part of the code can access this data except that particular function. The Object oriented programming has 8 different concepts within it which are polymorphism, inheritance, encapsulation, abstraction, class, object, method, and finally message passing. The first concept Polymorphism refers to the ability of OOP programming languages to differentiate between entities with the same name efficiently. Java does this with the help of the signature and declaration of these entities and polymorphism in Java for the most part are either overloading in Java or overriding in Java. The second concept is inheritance, which is the mechanism in java
