1 (a) The question of interest was how different teaching strategies affect the learning of all students and which teaching strategy had the greatest impact on student achievement, thus the population of interest is all students, the subjects used in the study were 120 high school math 30 students, the response variable is their overall midterm marks at the end of the study, the factor in the study is learning strategy, and there are 3 levels of the factor; homework assignments (H), weekly quizzes (Q), and computer tutorials (T). (b) It is clearly stated that the sample of students were randomly assigned to one of six different learning strategies, however it is not stated that the sample was initially random sampled. Instead they were chosen from 120 available Math 30 students. Due to this, it is possible to determine causal relationships within this sample however it is not possible to determine a causal relationship in the population, which is understandable because this is rare in the real world. The study can be used to prove that different teaching strategies caused the observed differences in midterm scores for that sample, but not an entire population.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
