2 Annotated Bibliography Thapan, A., & Cooper, M. (2016, March). Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. The Lancet , 387 (10024), 19-25. This article discusses ADHD or Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. According to the article this disorder normally shows up during childhood and it is more common in boys than in girls. It gives a list of symptoms that are looked for when diagnosing the disorder and says that the symptoms must be present more than just home. There is some research that shows that some show a decline in symptoms with age but that ADHD will carry on into adulthood. The article also explains the risk factors of being diagnosed with ADHD which include, environmental factors, pre-and perinatal factors including prematurity and low birth weight or being exposed to drugs or alcohol.
